If you've been waiting to buy your Midsummer Scream 2026 tickets, this is probably your last warning.
The convention has announced that Saturday, Weekend, and VIP passes are officially sold out, leaving only a limited number of Friday and Sunday day passes still available. Organizers also made it clear that once those are gone, they're gone. No additional tickets will be added.
That shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Midsummer Scream has grown into Southern California's biggest Halloween and horror convention, and every year it seems to get bigger.
This year's event takes over the Long Beach Convention Center from August 7 through August 9, bringing three days packed with everything horror fans could ask for.
The massive Hall of Shadows is once again one of the biggest attractions, featuring more than a dozen haunted experiences where you'll be able to walk through original mazes before Halloween season even begins. It's easily one of the highlights of the weekend and one of the reasons so many fans make this event an annual tradition.
When you're ready to catch your breath, you'll find more than 350 spooky vendors selling horror collectibles, artwork, apparel, decorations, props, and just about every creepy treasure imaginable. It's also one of the best places to get a preview of the upcoming Halloween season, with haunted attractions and entertainment companies showing off what's coming later this year.
Celebrity guests are another major draw, with Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, and Jamie Kennedy among the featured appearances, giving Scream fans another reason to make the trip.
On top of that, the weekend includes an incredible lineup of horror-themed entertainment, live performances, musicals, and over 100 hours of panels, presentations, and special events covering everything from filmmaking and haunted attractions to Halloween history and behind-the-scenes stories from the genre we all love.
Whether you're a hardcore haunter, collector, cosplayer, or just someone who starts decorating for Halloween before the leaves even change color, Midsummer Scream has become the unofficial kickoff to spooky season.
If attending has been sitting in the back of your mind, I wouldn't wait much longer. With only Friday and Sunday passes still available, this year's event is shaping up to be another complete sellout before the doors even open.
