Imagine waking up injured in the back of a moving camper with no memory of how you got there. Bad enough. Then a stranger tells you that you're infected, you have about an hour to reach a doctor, and something horrific will happen if you don't.

The claustrophobic psychological horror thriller is now streaming on Shudder, putting Dakota Gorman inside one seriously uncomfortable road trip from hell.
Gorman stars as Lena, who wakes inside a camper trailer with blood seeping through the bandage covering a badly infected wound on her arm. She doesn't know how she got there, where she's going, or exactly what happened to her.
Then she hears a man's voice.
Speaking through an intercom from the truck towing the camper, a stranger who identifies himself as Clive tells Lena that she's infected. According to him, there's still a chance to save her, but they need to reach a doctor within the hour.
There's just one fairly important problem: Lena has no idea whether she can trust him.
One Camper, One Hour and a Lot of Questions
Rather than giving Lena much room to escape her situation, Hellcat traps her inside the moving camper and lets the uncertainty do the work.
Is Clive actually trying to save her? What happened before she woke up? What exactly is happening to her body? And if she can't trust the person driving, what options does she really have while being hauled down the road inside what is essentially a cage on wheels?
The film plays with paranoia and two very different perceptions of reality as Lena desperately tries to piece together what's happening before time runs out.
Hellcat marks the feature directorial debut of Brock Bodell, with Dakota Gorman leading the film alongside Todd Terry and James Austin Johnson. The psychological horror thriller runs approximately 95 minutes and comes from Silent Diner Films.
It's a simple setup with plenty of room to mess with your head. One injured woman, one confined space, a ticking clock, and a stranger asking for her trust when she has absolutely no reason to give it to him.
Hellcat is streaming now on Shudder in the United States, with the film also receiving a digital release internationally.
Maybe waking up and realizing you slept through your stop isn't so bad after all.
